Call for a New Group Leader in Virology at the CIRI
The CIRI, Centre International de Recherche en Infectiologie (https://ciri.enslyon.fr), is a public research institute in Lyon, one of the most dynamic capital cities in France and a gateway to the Alps. The CIRI brings together more than 380 collaborators and 26 teams in the Divisions of Virology, Bacteriology and Immunology.
We are seeking for an outstanding group leader in Virology focused on the study of BSL4-class viruses. The new team leader is expected to develop their independent line of research, while implementing complementary synergies with other groups at the CIRI.
The selected candidate will benefit from office and laboratory space, as well as access to on-site state-of-the-art core facilities (BSL4 core facility, imaging, flow cytometry, etc https://www.sfr-biosciences.fr/).

Particular attention will be paid to candidates eligible for start-up programs such as ERC Starting/Consolidator Grant, ATIP-Avenir, or equivalent. Support will be provided to obtain research funding. Depending on the amount of secured funding, the selected candidate(s) will be allocated additional resources to facilitate integration.
